• In the face of the man, I saw the Man of Sorrows, One acquainted with grief dying on the tree, Jesus our Savior.
• In the face of the lion, I saw the mighty Baptizer with the Holy Ghost and fire, Jesus our Baptizer in the Holy Spirit.
• In the face of the ox, I saw typified the Great Burden-bearer, Who Himself took our infirmities and carried our sickness, Jesus our Healer or Great Physician.
• In the face of the eagle, I saw reflected the Coming King, our Bridegroom, Who would soon come to catch His beloved bride away, Jesus our Soon Coming King.
It was a perfect gospel, a complete gospel for body, for soul, for spirit, and for eternity. It was a gospel that faced squarely in every direction: North, East, South, and West (The Foursquare Gospel by Aimee Semple McPherson, Page 5).
We read in John 1:14; “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth". It was necessary for Jesus, in order to rescue men, to become a man, that is to incarnate in the womb of Mary, to participate in our nature and race, as women's seed, meeting Genesis 3:15, with the purposes of : our problems, our illnesses, our pain and our anxieties, to feel, for us, compassion (Philippians 2:7; Hebrews 2:17,18; 4:15; 5:1,2.) but, more importantly to save us. To save us He needed to take body and to offer it as sacrifice for the sins of men; also needed to be a man(Hebrews 10:10), suffering from pain instead of men, on the cross and outside the cross: work (Isaiah 53:3); physical needs (tiredness, hunger, heat, cold, sleep, weakness etc.). experimentally needed to know and confront our moral and spiritual problems, including face and defeat Satan; needed to suffer, for us, pain, sorrow, riots, sadness, disappointment, loneliness, anxiety and ingratitude; He needed, as a man, in place of sinners, to be held in ridicule, to be rejected, humiliated, arrested, beaten, spitted, insulted, flagellate, mistaken for criminals, scolding, sarcasm, tried, challenged, convicted, crucified and dead physically. But the perfect man, ideal, holy, irreproachable and role model for all human creatures, to be the fair Savior (which justified many) in place of man, in order to save it from eternal damnation.
Jesus took on the task and the face of the lion. He adopted the title of Lion of the tribe of Judah (Revelation 5:5). It is known that the animal Lion is the strongest and the king of the quadrupeds.
Having the face of a lion, Jesus is coated with power, being divine, and one of His main tasks was to be the Baptism person in the Holy Spirit. John the Baptist had prophesied that He baptized in the Holy Spirit (John 3:11). In fact Jesus is the Baptism person in the Holy Spirit, giving the Spirit granted by His intercession. (John 14:16).
Furthermore, as lion, Jesus gives His power to all who need to preach the Gospel (Matthew 28:18 -19). And as a lion, Jesus faces, attack and defeat the false lion-devil (I Peter 5:8) which is accusing us and our brothers (Revelation 12:10) and also defends his servants when they sin(I John 2:19). Therefore, we received from him, powerful Jesus, power and assistance, and his armor (Ephesians 6:11) so that we can be strengthened and protected, and we can chase the false lion (James 4:7) and we can expel the demons in the name of JESUS.
Jesus took the side of the Ox. This animal is strong, gentle, useful, and an obedient servant. The ox accepts, takes, supports and leads the light or heavy loads, without ever complaining. Similarly spiritually, Jesus took the side of the ox, for, as a DOCTOR and LIBERATOR, take, accept, support, help and take, on himself, the loads of children of God. On the cross He took upon himself, not only the heaviest, which were our sins, but also our illness and pain, for we did not need to take them (Isaiah 53:4, I Peter 2:24). Even today and whenever, he takes from us and carries on the same loads. We can throw on Him our loads, because He is and will be the big, powerful and famous physician and liberator who had come to heal, cure and in fact fulfilling its mission (Luke 4:18,19 ; Matthew 11:4-6). Jesus cured and cures ills of body, mind and spirit. Directly and indirectly, personally or through his disciples and churches.
Healing will continue as long as there are patients because their treatment is necessary and indispensable (Matthew 12:11,12; Luke 13:15,16) for building genuine and full of faith (John 4:48) and for evidence and confirmation of the same faith (Mark 16:17,18). Jesus said that when he did anything, it was only and always the will of God. (John 4:34; 8:39). In fact, one of the things that He was always doing, devotedly, was healing. Therefore, we believe and affirm that Jesus is the desire to heal, as Jesus himself said to the leper in Matthew 8:2,3. And this powerful Jesus, full of love, which has the face of an ox and takes our loads, is immutable in its purpose, power, love, program, works and promises (Hebrews 13:8).
Jesus took on the face of an eagle to perform the mission of the eagle. It is known that the eagle is the queen of the air and the birds, inhabits the highest cliffs with their young, but handle flight, and haughty ,sovereign in all directions, in the highest. With his eyes scan the infinite space. And sometimes facing terrible storms and the sun unmerciful. But, other times, down to the lowest parts of the earth. In similarity to the eagle, Jesus, who is the "King of kings and Lord of lords," has the sky as housing in Heaven and Paradise, in the company of the ones saved and already risen. For now reigns spiritually. With his look and spirit includes the children of men, sees the entire universe at his feet. One day, in the past, declined which eagle, regions sky to earth, to embody it, lived here, to bless and save sinners. After he returned in glory to be, again, to the right of the Father, but soon will return to earth until the clouds, to make the first resurrection of the saved, which, together with live processed, will be collected by him, in rapture and taken to the Father, which celebrate the wedding of the Lamb. And after that, soon after, He will return to earth in the company of the saved ones, coming down Him and the redeemed, in the territory of Israel, on the Mount of Olives. In that time many nations are in regiment and war, surrounding Israel. But at the time Jesus falls, with the flame of your eyes, the presence and glory will destroy fulminous all its enemies. Obtained this resounding victory, He will sit on his throne, before which all nations will gather to be judged, in whose time the creatures are divided into two big groups: the saved to the right, and sentenced to left. Then, as King of the Kings, Jesus orders the imprisonment of the devil and his angel’s demons, and begins His reign which covers all the earth, above all kingdoms, nations, people, languages, reigning with an iron rod, a kingdom blessed, glorious of justice, love, truth, peace and great joy. Earth will pass directly for total and remarkable renewal and revitalization in nature, and all evil and evil elements are removed. The knowledge of God will be a general and global reality. The subjects will have fun on joy, peace, immortality, wisdom, holiness, hardworking skills and perfect health. The poor, who were rejected in the trial, will be confined in Hades, where he will be in torment until the final day of the trial, when they will be tried and punished, if their names are not written in the Book of Life. After the millennium will follow, so the final verdict, but the saved will be free of any conviction. And then the redeemed of the Lord will live in the new Jerusalem, their final and eternal home.
