The Foursquare Church in the Philippines has now 1,727 churches as of September 30, 2009! Praise be to God! Thanks to the untiring support from all the national leaders, pastors, and members who are working together for the expansion of Foursquare movement here. In the 2009 Comparative District Summaries released by the National Office of the Church of the Foursquare Gospel in the Philippines, there are 1,727 local churches spread across the country. However, five districts are yet to submit their statistical reports - Pangasinan District, Oriental Mindoro District, Romblon-Aklan District, Agusan-Surigao District, and Northern Mindanao District. So we expect that we have more than 1,727 local churches.

Mindanao area, where there are many Muslim terrorists, has the most number of churches, 766, followed by Luzon with 700 churches, and the Visayas islands has 261 churches. Mindanao is composed of nine districts, Luzon has eight, and Visayas has three.

Among the nine districts in Mindanao, Central Mindanao District has the most number of local churches which is 126, followed by Southern Mindanao District, 111, and Agusan-Surigao District, 103. Agusan-Surigao District has yet to report its statistical report to the national office for October1, 2008-Spetember 30, 2009, so we would be expecting an increase of local churches from 103.

In Luzon, the Southwest Luzon District recorded 149 local churches with some churches located in Metro Manila, followed by the Southeast Luzon District (including some churches within Metro Manila area) with 138 churches, and Northeast Luzon District with 102 churches.

In the Visayas area, the Central Visayas District where Cebu City is located, has 143 establised local churches as of September 2009.

The top five districts in terms of number of churches are Southwest Luzon District, 149; Central Visayas District, 143; Southeast Luzon District, 138; Central Mindanao District, 126; and Southern Mindanao District, 111.

Let us praise God for the phenomenal growth of The Foursquare Church here in our country, and let us keep on praying for the national leadership as Rev. Val Chaves, the CFGP President, serves this rapidly growing work of more than 1,700 local churches. All glory belongs to God!
